Pam grew up in Talladega, Alabama. She graduated from Sweet Briar College in 1967 and received a Master of Arts degree with a major in music from The University of Alabama in 1971.
Pam has pursued her interest in music throughout her life, teaching piano part-time as a volunteer, serving on the boards of Opera Birmingham and the Birmingham Chamber Music Society, working in church music as volunteer choir director and organist.
Besides piano Pam has many interests including literature, dance, running, cooking and gardening. She also includes selling real estate as a very interesting thing to do. "I love the variety, the challenges of helping people solve an important problem; and of course, nothing is quite as interesting as people! We humans are a truly fascinating bunch and I love being constantly impressed, surprised, occasionally frustrated by the people I work with."
Pam also enjoys watching and following Football, Basketball, Boxing and Formula One Racing with her husband Jim. They have been married 45 years and have one son, Francis, who lives in Los Angeles and works there as a professional musician.
